The Haines Watts Thames Valley Young Entrepreneur 2012 finalists and judges

Yep, apparently we're still young! 35 was the cut off so Dave (just - his birthday was last week) and are still officially young which enabled us to be considered as a candidate for the Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur 2012 for the Thames Valley region.

A day in Reading at the swanky Malmaisson Hotel saw the 5 finalists present to a panel of 7 business leaders and experts which was initially quite daunting but much easier once I got my pitch underway.

Good news and bad news

The good news is that we won the 'local' title (Basingstoke and Farnborough area) which is fantastic. We scooped £250 and a years financial mentoring by the experts at Haines Watts. Result!

The bad news is that we didn't win the regional title. A top man called Dale Barrett of Insideout Group deservedly won the award - congratulations, Dale. The feedback we got was great and apparently the presentation went really well but Dale just nudged it.

A great experience nonetheless and were looking forward to taking advantage of our prize.
