Team Source Complete 2nd Annual Charity Marathon

Stu, Nyree and Emily departed Hampton Court Palace at 4pm on the hottest day of the year so far.

36 degrees is the kind of heat where most people take cover in the shade but Team Source got their heads down and began the 30 mile march to HQ along the Thames and Basingstoke Canal.

This year's conditions were a far cry from the 12 hour downpour they had to endure last year but it proved to be an equal, if not tougher, test of the body and mind.

With dehydration looming, blisters developing quickly and moral taking a dip, the pace was inevitably slower than expected but they were undeterred.

Half Way!

After 15 miles and in the cover of darkness, the team met their support crew just outside Woking, restocking of fluids, snacks and blister plasters!

The firm ground of towpath was beginning to cause big problems for the walkers. The old cliché of walking on glass was becoming very appropriate.

30 miles and 12 hours later, the trio came through the doors of Source.

Just Another Day

Unbelievably, Stu and Nyree sat at their desks and cracked on with work and only left at midday after they were physically removed by management!

Big respect and congratulations to Ems, Nyree and Stu for completing their challenge and raising over £1,000 for O2e.
