Sealing a brand new linoleum floor

One of our prep school customers asked us to provide some advice for the best way to seal the floor in their brand new multi-million pound drama block.

The 280 square metre linoleum floor had been handed over from the builders and a quick solution was required as teachers and pupils were champing at the bit to move in and take advantage of the fantastic facility.

Here's the advice we recommended;

  • Sweep the floor with a V-Sweep or Rapid Mop
  • Mop the floor with a low PH floor cleaning chemical (Sabre was used in this case)
  • Apply three coats of a hard wearing floor polish (Diamond Brite was used in this case as they opted for a wet look)
